On Being a Regular Person

I think I have spent too much time seeking perfection in life, relationships, career, you name it. I thought that I had to keep on achieving and become something special, out of the ordinary.

As I have gained in wisdom and maturity, I am learning to embrace the ordinary, which is actually extraordinary. Its kind of like growing grateful. As you go through each day, you start to realize that its in the common little things that true magic occurs.

These are the things that truly matter - a simple smile, a gesture of love and kindness, giving without seeking anything in return, having a friend, being a friend, or helping a loved one, offering a compliment, and making someone else feel good. There are so many opportunities for life to be special. Pay attention and the list will be endless.

Even just doing your best every day at whatever work you do is what matters. Regardless of what you do, as long as you give it your best, learn, give and share every day, life will be magical.

Make your intention a loving intention and your life will be special, and extraordinary !
