I am very clear about what matters to me. I think this is something that everyone should be very clear about, and act upon.
I am passionate about my wonderful husband and beautiful sons. I love my family more than anything. I love my sisters, sisters-in-law, all of my extended family and my dog. I love our cozy little home which is our sanctuary. I also love all my friends and the extended love family that I have chosen on this journey and those that have chosen me.
I am committed to using my own unique skills and talents to make a contribution to the world. This includes the work that I do and the volunteering that I do. It also includes my day to day attitude and the energy I bring to every interaction.
My ultimate goal is to love and be loved -- with emphasis on the giving part.

On Being a Regular Person
I think I have spent too much time seeking perfection in life, relationships, career, you name it. I thought that I had to keep on achieving and become something special, out of the ordinary.
As I have gained in wisdom and maturity, I am learning to embrace the ordinary, which is actually extraordinary. Its kind of like growing grateful. As you go through each day, you start to realize that its in the common little things that true magic occurs.
These are the things that truly matter - a simple smile, a gesture of love and kindness, giving without seeking anything in return, having a friend, being a friend, or helping a loved one, offering a compliment, and making someone else feel good. There are so many opportunities for life to be special. Pay attention and the list will be endless.
Even just doing your best every day at whatever work you do is what matters. Regardless of what you do, as long as you give it your best, learn, give and share every day, life will be magical.
Make your intention a loving intention and your life will be special, and extraordinary !

On Forgiveness
Forgiveness is a profound act of love. It heals the forgiver more than the forgiven. For it is in forgiving that we are healed and set free from the pain of the original wrong doing. There is no goodness or purpose in hanging onto resentment towards those that do us wrong. It just creates a continuation of suffering within us. So set yourself free, and forgive.
Finding Happiness
Happiness is found in different ways for different people. But fundamental for me is feeling that I am contributing to the world in positive ways through the use of my unique set of skills, talents and by just being the person that I am. The thing that I know how to do best is love people. That is what I try to bring to every interaction I experience whether it is at home, within the family, with my friends, at my work,in my community or in the larger world community.
The other essential is giving and sharing with others. I am completely wired for giving and receiving love. When I am on that path, all is good in my world. I work daily to ensure that I love and give everyday. It can be something as simple as giving a smile to someone on the street.

On Being a Mother
I am a mother of three sons and two step-sons. They are all grown now, in their 20s and 30s. I love being a mother and taking care of them. When they were little I put my heart and soul into taking care of them and loving them every minute of every day. It was a wonderful and blissful time for me.
The hardest part has been in letting them go, letting them choose their own lives and get on with their own lives, knowing that I am no longer the centre of their universe. That part is really hard. But I know that it is part of the normal progression of life. They are not mine to keep, they are mine to give to the world.
My love for them is unlimited and eternal and the joy of that never ends. I send my love for them out to the universe every day.

Find the Truth
I believe that we need to refine our souls to find happiness and peace. We need to return to our original state which is pure love and peace. This is the truth of who we are, Love.
One of the windows that can get us there is surrender. Let go and let god, being very present to the moment and all the beauty that is there. When we are attached to being right, to judging, to finding fault in others we block the natural flow of goodness that we are entitled to. We need to stay aware and conscious of those little traps that are set for us by our own egos.
We should return to the intention of our soul which is to be love and give love.

Yin and Yang
For me life needs to be a balance between action and quiet times. I love being with people, sharing and giving but I also need time alone to reflect and write. My quiet time is spent reading, writing, walking with my dog, sharing love with my family, cooking and just being. The active time is when I am working, socializing, learning and creating.
My Intention
My life has been a journey aimed at finding the truth and living right. I believe in love, truth, kindness and connecting. The only thing that has ever held me back is my own fear. I recognize that when I feel fear I do not let love in. I am working on that, and hope to make it better in all my interactions in this world.
We are only here for a short time. Our souls have chosen to be here to learn something, and to continue to complete and heal ourselves. That is my intention.
